Blackout: The Night Hunt
Service Description
BLACKOUT: The Night Hunt When the sun goes down, the mission doesn’t stop. BLACKOUT: The Night Hunt is an immersive, law enforcement-only training course designed to prepare K-9 teams, drone operators, and tactical personnel for the realities of operating in darkness. This is not a basic tracking class. Every block of instruction is built around real-world deployments, where visibility is limited, stress is high, and every decision matters. Over three nights, students will develop the skills needed to locate, track, and apprehend suspects in challenging environments while working alongside K-9 teams, drones, and ground personnel. Training emphasizes practical application over classroom theory, ensuring every student leaves with techniques they can immediately implement in the field. Topics include: Night tracking fundamentals and advanced tracking techniques Reading subtle K-9 behavior changes in low-light environments Proximity and triangulation alerts High-risk tactical tracking operations Drone integration with K-9 deployments Team communication and movement Ambush area recognition and mitigation Containment and suspect apprehension Decision-making under stress Scenario-based training using real-world law enforcement tactics Students will participate in progressively challenging scenarios designed to replicate actual operational deployments. Expect extended tracks, wooded terrain, limited visibility, and problem-solving under pressure. Every evolution is followed by a detailed debrief focused on improving both handler performance and tactical decision-making. Who Should Attend Law Enforcement K-9 Teams Patrol Officers SWAT/SRT Personnel Drone (UAS) Operators Tracking Teams Whether you’re an experienced handler or looking to improve your agency’s nighttime operational capability, BLACKOUT provides realistic training that bridges the gap between certification and deployment.
